1. Topic – Choose a North Carolina folklore story from the list provided on Moodle or from your research.
2. Write three to four pages relating the story and how it fits into the culture of the region where the story originates. If possible, find variations of the same story to show how the story changes according to who is telling the story.
3. Write at least one paragraph about the city or region where the folktale took place. Include its geographical location in the state: coastal, piedmont, or mountain region and when the city or county was settled. Include details about the demographics and industry(ies) in the area. You can use the city, county, or regional governmental website.
3. You must have three sources that includes a website, book, and magazine or journal.
