Borrow Books from Other NC Community College Libraries

If the Carteret CC Library does not have the book(s) you need, you can search for and request materials from other community college libraries in North Carolina (CCLINC) through the Carteret CC Library Catalog.

To borrow books from other community college libraries, change the search default library in the catalog from Carteret Community College to "Other CCLINC Libraries" or "All". Results from other NC community college libraries will be displayed. Items can either be borrowed through the library's catalog system using your library card and pin number or through a library staff person. We will notify you when it arrives. The book will be held at the circulation desk. To place a hold on a book, you must have an active library account with no overdue materials.

Interlibrary Loan Services (ILL)

Interlibrary Loan is a service that allows you to borrow books and journal articles from other libraries if these materials are not available at the Carteret CC Library or through other NC community college libraries. It can take up to ten (10) business days to receive an item through ILL. Contact the Circulation Desk at 252-222-6213 to request materials through ILL.
