CQ Researcher (NCLIVE) This link opens in a new windowCQ Researcher is comprised of research reports on current topics, including political and social issues, health, education, the environment, technology, and the U.S. economy. Each report is about 12,000 words long and includes a substantial number of links and references.
The two simplest ways to search for reports in CQ Researcher are to use the Quick Search box or the "Browse by Topic" link. The Quick Search box performs a simple search of all the available reports. The "Browse by Topic" link starts you with broad topics (such as "agriculture" or "education"), then gives you a list of sub-topics (like "education policy"), which brings you to a list of relevant reports. If your topic is still a little fuzzy in your mind, this may be the best way to search. The reports all have the same format, with introductions, overviews, pro/con position statements, and more.
To save a CQ Researcher report, look for the "View PDF" link at the top of each report. You can also email reports to your email account by looking for the "Send as Email" drop menu and selecting "Full Report."
